Hi there!

I’m Liz, an IBCLC (international board-certified lactation consultant) and THW (traditional health worker) Doula based in Springfield, OR, offering birth and postpartum support along with lactation services to families in Lane County and surrounding areas. My years as a professional nanny and my early experiences as a mom opened my eyes to just how much care and encouragement new parents truly need. Overcoming some rough breastfeeding challenges and navigating the postpartum period in a new city gave me a deep understanding of how valuable a steady, supportive presence can be during those early days.

In 2024, I started Traditional Birth Services with a mission to provide compassionate, inclusive care that’s accessible to every family. I’m proud to partner with the Community Doula Program to accept PacificSource and IHN insurance through the Oregon Health Plan for birth doula services, and I’m excited to soon offer Medicaid-covered lactation visits as well. Making high-quality support available to as many families as possible is close to my heart.

As a doula and lactation specialist, I believe every birthing person deserves to feel seen, heard, and respected as they bring their baby into the world. It’s an honor to walk alongside parents as they find their rhythm, offering education, reassurance, and hands-on support along the way.
